Emergency First Aid at Work Kent, Surrey, Sussex and London
The Emergency First Aid at Work Course (EFAW) is a one day HSE Approved course which was introduced by the HSE in October 2009.
Designed for smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks, this course is for nominated Emergency First Aiders or individuals who would like to attend a comprehensive one day first aid course.
Course Information and Content
Course Duration 6 Hours
Certification - HSE Approved Certification
Valid for 3 years - with an Annual Refresher strongly recommended by the HSE
Ongoing Assessment by Instructor
- Managing an Unresponsive Casualty who is not Breathing Normally
- Primary Assessment
- CPR - Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Deal with a casualty who is choking - Airway Obstruction
- Control of Severe External Bleeding
- Managing a Casualty who is Shock
- First Aid for minor injuries
- Small Cuts Grazes and Bruises
- Minor Burns and Scalds
- Small Splinters
- First Aid Accident Reporting
- First Aid Kit Compliance
